Cooking tart with tomatoes and feta cheese:
Step 1: prepare the dough.
We will prepare tart using ready-made puff pastry. Therefore, sprinkle the table with a small amount of sifted flour and carefully place the dough sheet, while it should be completely thawed. So, we process the rolling pin with flour so that the dough does not stick, and roll it into a rectangular shape (20 x 30 centimeters).
Then, using a knife, we make a border around the entire perimeter, retreating about 2 - 2.5 centimeters and go to the next step.
Step 2: prepare the filling.
We wash the tomatoes under running water and wipe them with a kitchen towel. Then put them on a cutting board and cut them with a sharp knife. If you decide to make a pie with cherry tomatoes, then it will be enough to cut them in half, and if you use ordinary tomatoes, then you need to cut them into plates with a thickness of up to 7 millimeters. The processed vegetable is transferred to a separate plate. Next, free the feta cheese from the packaging and grind it into a clean plate with either hands or a knife into beautiful pieces of arbitrary size.
Step 3: form a tart.
After that, cover the baking sheet with baking paper and very carefully transfer the prepared dough to the baking sheet.
Using a tablespoon, grease the dough with Dijon mustard, without leaving the outlined borders, spread the chopped tomatoes and sprinkle them with cheese. Next, pour the filling with vegetable oil and add salt with black ground pepper to taste. All tart is ready to bake.
Step 4: bake the tart.
Preheat the oven to 200 - 220 degrees Celsius and only after that, set the pan with the cake. We bake the dish until fully cooked for 15 to 20 minutes, during which time the dough is baked, covered with a golden crust and the edges of the tart slightly rise, the cheese is browned, and the tomatoes let the juice mix with mustard.
We take out a baking sheet with ready-made pastries from the oven, helping ourselves with kitchen tacks and leave it to cool for 5 minutes.
Step 5: serve the tart with tomatoes and feta cheese.
Separate the tart from the baking paper with a kitchen spatula and transfer it to a beautiful dish. And you can decorate the pastries with chopped parsley, dill, green onions or basil. Freshly squeezed juices or tea are suitable as a drink.
