Preparation of blueberry jelly:
Step 1: prepare the gelatin.
Pour into a deep plate or a small bowl 70-100 milliliters purified cold water. Then, pour the gelatin into the same container and mix everything well with a tablespoon so that the last component is completely dissolved in the liquid. We set the jelly mass container aside. For some time, the mass should turn into jelly. And this is what we need.
Step 2: prepare the berries.
Pour blueberry berries into a deep bowl and place the container under a stream of cool running water. Hands gently wash the berries in water to wash away any dirt.
Then pour them into a sieve and leave in the sink, in order to glass excess liquid.
We wash the deep bowl slightly under water, and then wipe it dry with kitchen paper towels. Pour blueberries into this container and, with your hands or a nudge for potatoes, squeeze the juice from the berries well. Attention: if you have a juicer on hand, then put the berries in this container and squeeze the juice out of them. Separate hands with juice from the juice and transfer to a free bowl. If you use a juicer, then do not forget to remove the pulp of berries on the inner walls of the container.
Step 3: make blueberry jelly.
Pour 1 liter of purified water into a bowl with a cake, mix well and pour into a saucepan. We put the container on medium heat and after boiling the berry compote, boil the liquid for another 5 minutes.
Now we filter the compote through a sieve into another clean pan and add sugar and swollen gelatin to the same container. Again, mix everything well with a tablespoon or wooden spatula until everything is completely dissolved in the liquid.
Then put the container back on medium heat and bring the compote to a boil. As soon as the broth boils, immediately turn off the burner, and set the pan aside. Add the cake of berries to the container and mix well until smooth. Now filter the mixture again through a sieve into another pan. Everything, blueberry jelly is ready.
Using a scoop, we pour jelly in portions into small containers. Attention: if you will use glass molds, then do not rush to pour a berry drink so that the container does not burst due to a quick change in temperature. We wait 15-20 minutes and only after we pour the jelly into the tins. After the jelly has cooled to room temperature, put the dessert in the refrigerator to freeze for 2.5 hours.
Step 4: serve the blueberry jelly.
Blueberry jelly is very soft and not very sweet. The main thing is that it is natural, because it does not contain any dyes or additives. Great treat for both adults and children.
- To prepare a delicious jelly, you must choose ripe blueberries. Therefore, before squeezing juice out of blueberries, it is necessary to select the ripened and immature berries from the ripe ones. And from overripe blueberries to cook, for example, jelly.
- As jelly molds, either glasses on low legs made of thick glass or small glass bowls are most suitable.
- You can decorate blueberry jelly with the remaining berries or cream.
