Cooking cabbage - potato pan with ham:

Step 1: prepare the potatoes.

First, wash the potatoes under running water and with a special knife for peeling vegetables or ordinary, remove the peel. Then we shift to a cutting board and cut into approximately the same large pieces, up to 3 centimeters in size. Next, turn on the temperature of the stove to the maximum level. Pour water into the pan and put on the burner. After the liquid boils, add the potatoes. Then we reduce the temperature of the stove and cover the pan with a lid. Cook vegetable about 15 minutes, salt and then check the readiness. We pierce the root vegetables with a knife and if it easily enters, then the potatoes are boiled. Next, drain the water and leave the potatoes to cool in the pan.

Step 2: chop the ingredients.

Onions are peeled and washed under cold running water. After rinsing the knife in cold water and transfer the component to a cutting board. Cut the onion in half rings and transfer it to a plate. Next, remove a couple of contaminated top leaves from cabbage and chop with a shallow straw. The chopped vegetable is placed in a plate with onions. Then add salt and black pepper. On a cutting board, cut the ham into a small cube, about 2 centimeters in size. We shift it to another plate.

Step 3: fry the vegetables.

Turn on the temperature of the plate to an average level. Add a little vegetable oil to the pan and put on the burner. After that, put the chopped cabbage and onions in the heated fat. Fry together until the cabbage is completely softened. Then add the chopped ham, mix with a kitchen spatula and fry 3 to 4 minutes. After that, we shift the potato slices from the pan and again mix everything well with a spatula. Then we reduce the temperature of the plate. We take out the butter from the refrigerator, cut into strips and lay on top of the vegetables. We close the pan with a lid and simmer in this state even 10 - 15 minutes.

Step 4: serve the cabbage - potato pan with ham.

This dish can be placed in the middle of the kitchen table right in the pan so that everyone puts as much as he wants. And as a drink, any juice or even warm milk is suitable. A hearty vegetable dish with slices of ham is ready! Enjoy your meal!
