Ingredients for making bacon crackers in Hungarian

Cooking cracklings in Hungarian:

Step 1: Pass through a meat grinder.

Twice we pass through a meat grinder, preferably small greaves and already boiled potatoes.

Step 2: Knead the dough.

Pour the flour previously sifted onto a cutting board. In the middle of the slide, create a small indentation, in the form of a funnel with edges. Pour baking powder into it, put already chopped greaves and potatoes. Next, add sugar, a pinch of salt and beat the eggs. Mash all the ingredients thoroughly with a spoon to make the mixture a homogeneous mass. After that, you can roll out the dough with your hands, so that in the end it turns out thick and soft.

Step 3: Roll out the dough.

Divide the resulting dough into two parts, each of them roll out into layers. Their thickness should be about 1-2 cm. The dough should be rolled out on a flat surface, abundantly sprinkled with flour so that it does not stick. Next, cut the round cookies or chopsticks as you like.

Step 4: Serve Hungarian cracklings cookies.

Prepare the oven for baking by heating it up to 180-200 degrees. Lay the cookies on a greased baking sheet a short distance from each other. While the oven is heating up, they will infuse a bit and will become approximately 2 times larger than the original shape. When you see that the cookie is browned, it means that it is already ready. Let the ready-made Hungarian cracklings biscuits cool down a bit and take on the shape they need. Lubricate them with butter or egg yolk. Then sprinkle the cookies with powdered sugar. After that, transfer to a clean bowl, at the bottom of which should be a clean sheet or paper towel. Top, not for a long time, cover with a clean kitchen towel. Now you can shift them to a plate and start a meal! Good appetite!

Recipe Tips:

- - You can add one clove of garlic, previously squeezed through the garlic, to the dough. You can also add a little fried onions along with cracklings.
