Ingredients for Making Dumplings with Mushrooms

For the test:

  1. Premium wheat flour 300 gr.
  2. Hen egg 1 pc.
  3. Water 100 ml.
  4. Salt pinch

For filling:

  1. Mushrooms (preferably champignons) 250-300 gr.
  2. Onions 100 gr.
  3. Butter 70 gr.
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Sour cream 80 gr.

Cooking dumplings with mushrooms:

Step 1: Cook the dough.

We will knead the dough in a bowl, despite the fact that Ukrainian housewives do it right on the table. So, in a bowl, beat the egg with salt with a fork, and then add water - mix a little. And then gently pour the flour in portions and begin to knead the soft, elastic dough. Then cover it with a towel and let stand 30 minutes.

Step 2: Cook the mushroom filling.

To do this, finely chop onions and mushrooms (I have champignons). We put on a medium heat to heat the pan, pour a little vegetable oil and spread the onion, fry first, and when it becomes transparent - mushrooms. We fry under the lid over low heat until cooked (until all the mushroom juice has evaporated). At the end, add a little salt and remove from heat. Cool the finished stuffing.

Step 3: Cook the dumplings with mushrooms.

We put a pot of water on medium heat. In the meantime, it will begin to boil, begin to sculpt dumplings. To do this, divide the dough into several parts and form balls, then each roll into a layer using a rolling pin and put on a dumpling. Top with a teaspoon we distribute the mushroom stuffing. Roll out another ball and cover them with minced meat on top. Then we will walk well along the rolling pin along the dumpling and, thus, the outline of the dumplings becomes visible. We turn it over and knock it well on the table in order to get the dumplings. Gently put them on the table. Similarly, we roll out all the balls. As soon as the water boils, slightly salt it to taste and begin to cook the dumplings in portions. When they pop up, immediately pull out with a colander and transfer to a bowl. Add oil and mix well (but carefully). It will take no more 20 minutes.

Step 4: Serve the dumplings with mushrooms.

Ready-made dumplings are best served immediately before they stick together. Pour more sour cream into the bowl and cook another vegetable salad. Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- - To prepare a more satisfying option, the mushroom filling can be mixed with mashed potatoes.

- - You can sculpt dumplings not only with dumplings. Roll the dough into a layer and use a knife to cut the squares: in the middle we put the filling and turn into a triangle. We pinch the edges well.

- - Dumplings can not be greased with butter, but immediately pour sour cream.
