We Tried It: Three Bridges Superfood Spinach and Kale Ravioli with Superfood Pesto Sauce made with Kale

Pasta is just one of those foods that call to me in my moments of craving. It says, "Eat me! I&aposm full of empty carbohydrates, and please, please, eat me with copious amounts of Parmesan cheese!" Inevitably, I give in.

With Three Bridges prepared pastas, I don&apost have to be so mean to my carb callings. The Superfood Spinach and Kale Ravioli was a great dinner for two–I tossed it with some fresh cherry tomatoes, basil, and a generous spoonful of Three Bridges&apos Superfood Pesto Sauce made with Kale. Lemony, zesty, satisfying𠅊ll without the downpour (and calorie uptick) of grated Parmesan cheese.

You only have to boil the pastas for a few minutes, and I used some of the pasta water to thicken the pesto sauce a little further. I would absolutely recommend these products—they have an actual health and nutritious component in comparison to their otherwise obscenely caloric grocery section neighbors. So, for now, my pasta craving has been satisfied. Until next time, Ravioli! (And there will be a next time. Seriously, this pasta is great!)

Overall

We just can’t quit the outstanding signature burger at Three Bridges Bar & Grill. Both Brandon and I love the flavors, and we really enjoy everything about the restaurant. One of these days, I will actually order something else besides the burger! There are a lot of other options, like the chicken wings, that I’d definitely like to try in the future. If you crave a good burger in a relaxed setting, you can’t go wrong with Three Bridges Bar & Grill. One word of note, this restaurant is only open for dinner daily.

Have you been to Three Bridges Bar & Grill? What did you enjoy when you dined there?

Pesto Tortellini with Three Bridges

I’m always looking for meals that take less than half an hour to make from beginning to end. As a mom, there are just never enough hours in a day. Especially with back to school season these next couple of weeks, I’m sure most moms and dads out there can relate.

That’s why I was thrilled when Three Bridges reached out to collaborate. They make a full line of easy to prepare pastas and sauces that help speed dinner prepping right up while still tasting homemade. All of their products are made with simple, honest and better for you ingredients… things that I have no problem feeding Ellie. After all, they only use premium, high-quality ingredients that contain no artificial ingredients, flavors, and colors, and no preservatives, fillers or hormones.

These are just some of the products they offer. On the plus side, if you don’t find yourself using the tortellini right away, you can always throw them in the freezer for later!

I used the Triple Cheese Tortellini and Basil Pesto Sauce for this recipe, but Ellie loved the Heirloom Marinara Sauce the most.

This was such an easy meal and everyone in my family loved it. The basil pesto sauce brought together the tortellini, bacon, tomatoes, olives, and parmesan cheese.

It would be a wonderful side served at lunch picnics, dinner parties, or beside a sandwich. I loved the crispiness of the bacon. Next time, I would add even more! You can never have enough bacon.

Three Bridges’ tortellini truly is a quick and easy meal solution. I could toss them in different sauces and with different proteins to make completely different meals.

This one is catered to our liking, but you can use other add-ins if you want. Roasted bell peppers, avocado, goat cheese, grilled chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh spinach, and jalapenos are just some ideas.

Three Bridges Pasta – Simple, Honest, Better, and Delicious!

Written and Photos by Jessica Lewandowski

If you’re anything like me, you’re still working on that beach body (I’m totally going to lose ten pounds by April). If you’re also anything like me, you know that carbs don’t count. Right? I can’t help it I’m a pasta freak. Three Bridges must have been reading my mind because they sent me loads of stuffed ravioli and sauces. Yeah, the diet went out the window!

Here’s why I didn’t have to feel guilty about gobbling down their yummy pastas: Three Bridges has cut out all of the preservatives, hormones, and antibiotics in their products. Everything is made in small batches from wholesome ingredients, unlike your standard bagged pasta from the frozen aisle in your grocery store. That doesn’t mean their ravioli is just stuffed with really good cheese, either (although the cheese is really good). Besides a Three Cheese filling, I got my hands on Grilled Chicken and Mozzarella, Wild Mushroom, and Spinach and Cheese ravioli. There are a ton more types of pasta to sift through on the Three Bridges website too. Other ravioli pastas include Butternut Squash, Italian Sausage, and Lobster. They offer Gnocchi, a Gluten Free Ravioli, and everyone’s favorite: Mac and Cheese.

I also got to test out three of their most popular sauces (also all made with fresh and natural ingredients). I tried the Heirloom Marinara, Alfredo, and Basil Pesto sauces. When it comes to my carbo-loading, I’m a classic lady, so my favorite sauce was definitely the Heirloom Marinara. It was the perfect combination of velvety sauce with little bites of tomato throughout. The sauce wasn’t too heavy, but it still had plenty of flavor. If you pick up one of Three Bridge’s pasta sauces, try out their Kale Pesto, and let us know how you liked it!

Many of the pastas come in 9 oz. packages, which is perfect for a meal for two. There are also many 1 lb. Family-Size packages, which is great for a group of four or two really, really hungry people (don’t judge me). The packaging is transparent because that’s the biggest message from Three Bridges: they have nothing to hide! What you see is what you get, and that’s some pretty nom-tastic pasta.

Can I use pesto instead of basil?

Click to explore further. Also to know is, is pesto and basil the same?

is that basil is a plant (ocimum basilicum ) or basil can be the angle to which a joiner's tool is ground away or basil can be the skin of a sheep tanned with bark while pesto is a sauce, especially for pasta, originating from the genoa region, made from basil, garlic, pine nuts, olive oil and cheese (usually pecorino)

  1. Mix It into Dips. We'll mix a little pesto in with sour cream, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, or even guacamole!
  2. Top Your Breakfast.
  3. Replace Pizza Sauce.
  4. Bake into Bread.
  5. Spread on a Sandwich or Flatbread.
  6. Mix into Salad Dressing.
  7. Toss (or Top) Veggies.
  8. Smear on Bruschetta.

Likewise, people ask, what is a good substitute for fresh basil?

  • Oregano. Another famed Mediterranean herb, oregano is slightly similar in taste to basil.
  • Thyme. Thyme has a warmer, earthier taste than basil or oregano, but it can still be a viable substitute for basil in most recipes.
  • Celery Leaf.
  • Cilantro.
  • Mint.

Can you substitute regular basil for Thai basil?

You can use sweet basil in all dishes that require Thai basil without losing much. When using sweet basil in place of Thai basil, you may be able to replicate this intensity by using a little more of the herb than your recipe requires for Thai basil. Try using about one and a half times more sweet basil.
