The cabbage is washed, cleaned and then we start to dig it until only a few layers of leaves remain (I started by cutting the back, then I dug with the knife and spoon). The chicken breast is given through the meat mincer, then mix with an egg, salt, pepper, parsley. Finely chop the onion in oil, add the finely chopped or blended pepper, tomato juice, and washed rice. Let it boil until the tomato juice decreases. Leave to cool. , after which it is mixed with the meat. With this mixture we fill the cabbage, and the space that remained empty is covered with finely chopped cabbage.

Place the cabbage in a saucepan, add the remaining tomato juice, 4 sprigs of thyme and 2 of basil and then fill with water. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about an hour and a half, until the cabbage is cooked. .It is served with polenta and sour cream.

Duck meat has a special flavor and the combination with cabbage is a classic. I made in my style the classic duck recipe on cabbage and it came out, without false modesty, a wonder! Even if it's a little more work with this recipe, believe me, it's worth every extra minute.

  • 800 g chicken breast
  • 500g potatoes (I took frozen for the oven)
  • half a cabbage
  • 6-7 pickled cucumbers
  • spices (paprika, pepper, thyme, marjoram, coriander)
  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8-9 wafers large (I bought ready-made)

We put the chicken breast on MARINE a few hours before in spices, salt and 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil.

We then put it on the grill and brown it nicely on both sides.

We put the potatoes on a baking sheet and put them in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, finely chop the cabbage, cut the pickled cucumbers into thin sticks.

The sauce is prepared as follows: the crushed garlic is mixed with salt, cream and mayonnaise are added, stirring constantly.

We assemble the shaorma, heat the glue and put potatoes, meat, cucumber slices, chopped cabbage and sauce on the whole surface. We roll and eat with great appetite. Enjoy!

Duck on cabbage. The simplest recipe

An ideal satiety dish on a cool autumn day. Each region of the country has its own duck recipe on cabbage, but we'll tell you the simplest one below. These are just a few simple steps you need to follow. Therefore:

Wash and rub the duck inside and out with spices and oil. Put it in the oven in a tray in which you have previously poured a cup of water. Let it cook for 60 minutes, after the first 30 turn it on the other side, to make it even.

The sauerkraut is cut into small pieces and put to harden in a little oil over medium to high heat, for about 20 minutes, with a lid and stirring every 5 minutes.

Separately, cut and harden the fresh cabbage until soft. Cut the onion into scales. Combine tomato juice, water and spices in a bowl.

Combine the 2 types of cabbage with the sauce made earlier. Remove the duck a little aside, put the cabbage bed on the bottom of the tray and put the duck back over.

Bake everything for 90 minutes. If you notice that the cabbage is drying, lower the heat and pour a little water. Turn the duck from time to time, browning evenly.

When ready, portion the duck and serve with the cabbage in the pan and a portion of hot polenta.
